Rachael Curtin
Born in Chicago into a musical family, Rachael Curtin has been singing since she can remember. A trained vocalist, pianist, and percussionist—and self-taught on guitar—her musical history is rooted in harmony, rhythm, and a yearning to perform. She joined Mama Sam & The Jam in 2018 as the first official member, discovering a sister-voice magic with Mama Sam that defines the band’s dreamy sound. In addition to goosebump-inducing vocals,
Rachael grounds the rhythm with heartbeat-like floor tom beats, choreographs playful movement, and brings a joyful, fun-loving energy that lifts every performance.
Rachael is also a songwriter and has shared her original work through collaborative projects, including Sonder, her duo with fellow sister-in-harmony Justine Renée. She sings and has arranged back up vocals for New Constellations, Mitch and the Melody Makers, The Lowfires, Good Rest, and more—adding depth, heart, and a little bit of je ne sais quoi. :)
